Just wanted to give you an update on Tor.
We absolutely adore him. He's such a big, lovable baby. I moved him three
days ago to a barn with an indoor riding arena, which involved ponying him
with one of our other horses. He had his first trip to the beach, got to
see the ocean and all sorts of new things. He did great, didn't get
nervous about anything. He did have reservations about going through a
small creek, just kind of hopped over it, but walked right through the
next. He's settled in at the new barn, and seems to be quite content.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to have him, I feel he's the
perfect fit for our family.
Thanks again,
Melissa, Bri and Tyler
Dunstan is just super! He has
settled in just fine, been accepting of kids running & hollering
through his pasture, goats in his feeder, and through his legs, and with
his easy going nature i'm sure when it comes time to getting in a trailer
again, he won't hold a grudge, despite his stressful trip north. He's a
doll!
Take Care,
Heather
I've brought him home now until he turns three...he's home to play and
grow...He is nicely started under saddle...not ever one buck or
kick...nothing...just a great guy...everyone at the trainers barn misses
him a lot. I'm very glad to have him home and spend time with him
everyday.
He is somewhat bleached out by the summer sun now...but a gorgeous
mahogany color and very shinny and slick... I've not measured him lately
but everyone thinks he stands 17H. He is very muscular and has long legs
he is magnificent to look at and in perfect proportion. I've been
offered 15K for him recently...but would never sell. He is my baby!
Our driveway is about 1/4 mile long and the pasture runs pretty much the
length of it... Manny saw my car coming up the driveway the other day
and trotted along the fenceline following my car..I wish you could see
him...he just floats. He is going to put all those snooty warmblood
owners and their horses to shame in the on the show circuit. All those
warmbloods are bays and chestnuts..Manny is such a great color and with
his white lower legs and blaze everyone that see's him goes OOOH and
AAAH.
I don't usually brag about him like this, but with you I want to share
the pride
Thought I'd fill you in on Mr. Bart's
adventures! 2 weeks ago tomorrow we had a BIG trail ride, I didn't
know it would be quite as long as it was. I rode Bart and let a girl
ride Sunny (my trainer was having a camp), she of course was perfect!
Well, Mr Bart was great for the most part, except I discovered that when he
wants to go right, no matter how much his neck is bent left, he goes
right! Even straight downhill (man from snowy river??) Also,
when he wants to be with his sister, even when we're quite a ways behind, we
go FORWARD!!!!
The really good news regarding that day was he
can keep his feet underneath himself, and for the most part was great.
So, last Sunday we went for a ride with some
friends and he was the leader, totally the STAR of the day, my friend who's
daughter is trying for the Olympics in 2008, said he was conformationally
awesome for a jumper!!

Hello Adena and Denny, I just wanted you to know that
Britta is doing
great. She's settled in and very happy. I've ridden her every
day but
today and she's been an angel. Her behavior is exactly as you
described. She gets along great with the gelding she gets turned out
with. She's very social and hangs out at the fence when
we are
outside. We are all thoroughly enchanted by her.
The only "surprise" we have had - and it was a good one - is how
incredibly neat she is in her stall. She's got one corner for doing
her
business in. If the door between her stall and paddock is open, she
goes outside to do her business. So, we only have a 3 by 3 feet area
to
muck in her stall. I wish the other two horses were the same!
