3-
Day 328
Cassie is now on the calcium scale. Her milk is still translucent but
turning white. She may beat Sophie to foaling!
|
4-
Day 329

Calcium level coming up. Milk is turning white, is quite
sticky. She looks like she's going to beat Sophie to foaling. Odd
behavior all day.
|
5-
Day 330

Calcium at about 80 PPM. Milk is skim milk color Lots of
rolling today, she looks close. Moved her into the foaling stall instead
of Sophie.. |
6-
Day 331

Calcium unchanged. Cassie's milk LOOKS nearly foal ready, calcium
says "not yet". Udder is very full, milks easily. Mostly
white, most opaque. |
7- Day 332

Calcium unchanged. Milk is becoming white, but still
yellowish. Cassie has been known to foal with milk that looks like
this so we're being careful! |
8- Day 333

Calcium increased a bit. Belly changed shape today, foal is quite
active. Udder is slightly deflated - wonder if she's been dripping
milk? She's VERY interested in Sophie's filly. |
9-
Day 334

Calcium over 100. Udder still deflated. Cassie usually sports a
HUGE udder. This is unusual. Milk is still yellow-ish, but opaque
and thickening. |
10-
Day 335

Calcium over 350. Udder full, heavy. She's waxed. Milk is
cream-colored, thick and opaque. Foal ready. Cassie's mood is odd,
looks like she's very close.. |
